Created in Apophysis 7X15 for :iconf--l--a--r--k:'s Apo Challenge 153. His limiters this week state:
Supreme Olde Skool
This week's challenge comes to us by way of suggestion by ~mutequacky. He has suggested that we create a fractal using only the options available to us within Apophysis 2.02. I must say, this was quite some time ago. This means no xaos (and maybe no post-transforms?...I can't recall that far back). Below you will find a list of variations that were in Apophysis 2.02, only plugins on this list are allowed. At the time there weren't even variables for the different variations!

•linear

•sinusoidal

•spherical

•swirl

•horseshoe

•polar

•bent

•hankerchief

•heart

•disc

•spiral

•hyperbolic

•diamond

•ex

•julia

•waves

•fisheye

•popcorn

I hope you all enjoy the throwback!

Please, :icondontshareplz-one::icondontshareplz-two:

Fantastic work, strange that of all the ones on the first page of your work this caught my eye the most. Limitations can sometimes be liberating...

Thank you! It was nothing short of a miracle that I got any depth with those ancient variations.. I was pretty happy with it.

This is really wonderful! It has a real 3D feel to it. And, I too tried to work in Apo 2.02 and it was indeed difficult. Definite hats off to those artists who turned out such wonderful fractals using this early version of Apo. It took a lot more work and time to do it back then. But, I must admit, the updated Apo has definitely made the Apo experience a lot easier and more controlled. Thanks to the various developers who have taken Apo to such a high level for fractal generation.

Thank you so much for your kind comment! I hope `Xyrus02 and the others keep up their good work! The difference just between 2.09 and 7X is amazing.
